RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

Soju Hack #1

🍋Refreshing Lemon Droplet Soju Shots/상쾌한 레몬 소주

(You need: Cold bottle of soju, soju shot glasses, and one whole lemon)

Store your soju bottle in the fridge and make sure it is cold before consuming. After you twist open the soju bottle, carefully peel off the thin thread of the bottle cap. (Be careful when handling the bottle cap, as it is very sharp.) Using a room temperature lemon, gently press down the lemon with the palm of your hand and roll the lemon back and forth, 5 - 6 times. This is to ensure the lemon is "juicy." Use the bottle cap to dig a hole at one end of the lemon. Push hard using the sharp end of the bottle cap, and dig into the lemon, while rotating the lemon, and angling the bottle cap firmly in place. Remove the lemon end of the cut from the bottle cap and discard.

Pour the cold soju into the shot glasses, and gently squeeze the lemon, with the opening end facing down, to release several droplets of the lemon juice into the soju shot glasses. These few droplets of the lemon juice to the soju shot adds a refreshing and clean after taste.

Soju Hack #2

⟁Soju Pyramid Shots Tower/소주 피라미드

(You need: Cold bottle of soju, 10 soju shot glasses, and a large plate/tray)

Line up 6 soju shot glasses into a triangle shape, on a plate/tray. Add 3 more soju shot glasses (lined up into a triangle shape) on top of the 6 soju shot glasses. Then add one soju shot glass on the center part of the 2nd layer of the 3 shot glass triangle. (As shown in the video above). Start pouring the soju from the 1 soju shot glass on top. Make sure to pour the soju continuously around the rim of the shot glass. This is to ensure that the soju flows evenly to the rest of the soju shots glasses below.

Soju Hack #3

💣Soju-Beer Bomb Shots ("Pok-Tan-Ju" 폭탄주)

(You need: Cold bottle of soju, 5 soju shot glasses, 6 heavy-bottomed Old-Fashioned/Whiskey glasses, and enough cold light beer to fill 5 whiskey glasses.)

Line up 6 heavy-bottomed whiskey glasses in a straight line. Pour the cold beer into these glasses, leaving 1 empty. We'll call this empty glass the pacer glass. Pour the cold soju into 5 soju shots. Place the soju shot on top of the beer glass and pacer glass. Then continue placing the rest of the soju shots on top, between the beer glasses. (As shown in the video above.)

Now, are you ready to drop the soju-bomb😎? If so, gently tap the soju shot glass (resting on top of the beer and pacer glasses) towards the rest of the soju shots. This tapping of the first soju glass will create a domino effect, knocking the rest of the soju shot glasses to fall into the beer glasses. (DO NOT do a test run on empty glasses, as this will break/shatter your glassware. If you want to do a test-run, use water.) Ok, now your soju-bomb has exploded, so you must drink the soju-bomb fast...down-the-hatch. Soju-bombs are not for sipping.

Two Simple Soju Cocktails/초간단한 2 가지 소주 칵테일레시피:

🍇Grape Juice & Club Soda Soju Cocktail with a hint of fresh mint🍃 포도봉봉 소주 칵테일

(You need: 1 Can of Korean Grape Juice, ice cubes, pint or tall cocktail glass, a splash of club soda, cold soju 2oz, and 6 to 8 fresh mint leaves)

Fill the pint glass about 2/3 with ice cubes, pour the grape juice about 2/3, add 1 soju shot/about 2 oz, and fill the rest of the glass with cold club soda. Take the fresh mint leaves, and gently bruise them with your fingers. Then rub the rim of the glass with the bruised mint leaves, once or twice. Then drop the mint leaves in the glass. Using a cocktail spoon, mix the

🍐Pear Juice & Club Soda Soju Cocktail infused with lemon zest oil🍋 배 주스 소주 칵테일

(You need: 1 Can of Korean Pear Juice, ice cubes, pint or tall cocktail glass, a splash of club soda, cold soju 2oz, and a large strip of lemon zest.)

Fill the pint glass about 2/3 with ice cubes, pour the pear juice about 2/3, add 1 soju shot/about 2 oz, and fill the rest of the glass with cold club soda. Using a vegetable peeler, gently peel a large strip of the lemon zest/yellow part only. (You want to peel the yellow part of the lemon skin. If you peel off too deep into the lemon skin, you'll also remove the white part of the skin. The white part of the lemon skin is bitter in taste. The yellow part of the lemon skin is fragrant, sweet, and full of its natural lemon zest oil.) Gently roll and twist the lemon zest strip over the glass, to release and spray its zest oil into the glass. Then rub the rim of the glass with the lemon zest, once or twice. Add the lemon zest into the glass. Using a cocktail spoon, mix it well.

Now both of these cocktails will taste just slightly sweet, and mild in alcohol taste. If you prefer a sweeter taste, add some simple syrup. If you prefer a stronger taste, add more soju. Both of these cocktails are meant to be refreshing, with a slight sweetness from the juices, and subtle alcohol taste.

Cheers/"GunBheh"/건배 everyone😎
