RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS


Step One: Prepping the cauliflower

Trim off the green leaves on the bottom of the cauliflower. Cut off all the root ends so the cauliflower can sit balanced on on flat surface.

  • 1 Cauliflower Head ์ฝœ๋ฆฌํ”Œ๋ผ์›Œ


Find a small bowl that fits the cauliflower head with the root end facing up. This bowl is our working bowl that will keep the cauliflower head in place as we cut through the internal root end and stems.


Using a paring knife, cut around the root end and remove. Set the cut out root end aside.

Cut the internal cauliflower stems, so that it is easier to pull out the cauliflower pieces when your guests are ready to eat.


Step Two: Affixing the cauliflower head on a plate

Take a huge spoonful of the hummus and generously fill the inner cavity of the cauliflower head, where the stems are. The hummus will act as the glue that will keep our cauliflower pieces in place. Then place the cauliflower root end that you carved out in Step One, and place it back in the cavity of the cauliflower, where the hummus is. This is to reinforce the hummus acting as the glue. Then add another big spoonful of the hummus on the root end. Again, the hummus will act as the glue that will keep the cauliflower head secure on the serving platter.

  • 2 LB Hummus ํ›„๋ฌด์Šค


Place the flat plate (serving side face down) on top of the hummus root end. Place one hand on the place (back side) and the other hand on the bottom of the cauliflower bowl. Firmly hold with both hands and turn over the plate/bowl. Remove the bowl. Now, the cauliflower head should be securely affixed on the center of the flat plate.


Place the rest of the hummus around the base of the cauliflower head.


Step Three: Gochujang Sauce

Mix the following ingredients. Mix well.

  • 2 Tablespoon ํฐ์ˆ  Gochujang ๊ณ ์ถ”์žฅ

  • 2 Tablespoon ํฐ์ˆ  Water ๋ฌผ

  • 1 Tablespoon ํฐ์ˆ  Brown Sugar ํ‘์„คํƒ•

  • 1 Tablespoon ํฐ์ˆ  Balsamic Vinegar ๋ฐœ์‚ฌ๋ฏน ์‹์ดˆ

  • 2 Teaspoon ์ž‘์€์ˆ  Smoked Paprika ํŒŒํ”„๋ฆฌ์นด ๊ฐ€๋ฃจ

  • 1 Garlic Clove (finely grated) ๊ฐ•ํŒ ๋งˆ๋Š˜

You can make this sauce ahead of time and store in the fridge. This sauce keeps for awhile. I usually make enough to last a few weeks in the fridge. I put this sauce on EVERYTHING! SO YUM๐Ÿ˜‹. This is the same Gochujang sauce from my Grilled Corn & Grilled Romaine Lettuce recipe.


๐ŸŒถSPICE UP your Corn-On-The-Cob & EAT grilled Romaine lettuce with GoChuJang Sauce! ๊ณ ์ถ”์žฅ ์†Œ์Šค์™€ ๐ŸŒฝ ๊ตฌ์šด ์˜ฅ์ˆ˜์ˆ˜


Step Four: Assembling the plate

Add a generous drizzle of the Gochujang sauce on the cauliflower. Using your hand (wear a food safe disposable glove to protect your skin), and gently rub the sauce on the cauliflower head. Now, it looks like a gory bloody brain๐Ÿ’€


Drizzle the Gochujang sauce on the hummus around the cauliflower head and on the plate rim. Place your Halloween props (eyeballs, small skull heads, etc) on the hummus around the plate.


When you are ready to serve the guests, while holding the cauliflower with one hand, gently make more cuts on the cauliflower so it is easy to pull out pieces of the cauliflower and enjoy.


For other non-Halloween parties, I would also add jicama, carrot, celery, and sweet bell peppers around the plate. EASY, HEALTHY, and DELICIOUS finger food for your next party!
